The Factory of the Vaporous oscillates between industrial production and utopia. It is a mobile system, a portable laboratory that gives the artist the opportunity to take samples of the environment. Throughout her journeys, Marie-Luce Nadal captures particles of clouds and electric residues of thunderstorms, which she then reduce to extracts in order to reproduce them infinitely. The Factory of Vaporous is composed of a system of air extraction and surrounding water, a set of instruments which allows her to separate the air and the water from their chemical and inorganic components, as well as a series of tools which allows her to measure, restart and mix these components with the aim of producing pure essence of cloud and synthetic thunderstorm.
