Tous ensemble, chacun pour soi

Olivain Porry, 2018

Produced as part of the ICOC project (Collective Interface for Connected Objects) led collectively by the EnsadLab laboratory, the CHArt laboratory and the Carnot Cognition institute, “Tous ensemble chacun pour soi” is an installation of small vibrating robots. Perched on springs, they vibrate and move relatively to the position of their own rudders. Six in number, they synchronize and de-synchronize themselves, link multiple choreographies in the area they occupy and reveal various forms of collective organization. Each one is equipped with a reflective surface that reflects the lights and elements of the exhibition space. They inhabit the exhibition space, fragmenting its image and expressing both individual and collective emotional states.
